involvement
At Alpha Chi Omega, we know how to balance social life with academic responsibility. Our sorority prides itself on having members of Order of Omega, the Greek academic honor society, and the University of Florida Honors Program as sisters of our chapter. To keep intellectual development a top priority of our chapter, each week we have chibrary, where each day of the week a study room is booked in one of the libraries on campus, allowing our sisters to have an additional place to focus on their studies. Additionally, we have an academic mentor program, which assigns an older sister to a younger member of the same major to help give advice and guidance. Alpha Chi's are strong, beautiful and smart women who always know that a sister makes the best study buddy!
As a chapter, we stress the importance of being a well-rounded student as well, which includes getting involved outside the chapter; from Dance Marathon and campus leadership positions to getting involved in the philanthropies of other Panhellenic and IFC chapters, you can find us all around campus.
Campus Leadership
Alpha Chi sisters know the importance of making a difference in our community, on and off campus. We are involved in numerous organizations and leadership positions around Gainesville, including Florida Blue Key, Student Government, Gator Growl Homecoming and Parade, Dance Marathon, UF Preview Staff, Order of Omega, the Independent Florida Alligator, Project Makeover, Her Campus UFL, Best Buddies and Floridance. Our chapter greatly values giving back to the community, and illustrates our ideas of being Real Strong Women
Panhellenic and IFC Involvement
Our chapter works to participate in other fraternity and sorority philanthropies, such as Beta Bring It On, Phi Delt Fever, Stroll Off, and many others. As a sisterhood, we work to add to the support of Greek community on the University of Florida campus.
